Let The Children and Childbearers Toil

Double Take S5E4

Welcome to the Orphan Black Double Take where I give you my first impressions right after seeing the fourth episode of season 5 titled “Let The Children and Childbearers Toil” for the first time. I’m creating these short posts to encourage listener feedback by asking questions about the episode.

Feedback deadline is Monday at 12 noon Eastern Time.

This week’s questions are…

1) Will Virginia Coady help them?

2) What is Mud’s interest with the man in the woods?

3) Will Sarah confide in Kira?

Send me your thought about these questions or any other part of this latest episode of Orphan Black.

I’d like to thank everyone who has subscribed to this podcast and encourage you to join the discussion by sending in your feedback by calling +1-805-910-7656 or by e-mailing me at

  1. Preamble:

In answer to last week’s timing blunder – somehow I got it in my mind that your deadline was Sunday your time, not Monday, my bad.

1 Virginia Cody helpful? – As little as possible. Susan Duncan told us that she’s more ruthless than herself. And, by the way, how did Ferdinand give her over to Neolution? At the time he was totally opposed. And, by the way (again), where is he now? We surely aren’t finished with him.

2 Family, father or brother probably.

3 I think, yes. All except personal stuff involving Cal.

Additional thoughts – Adele back as well? Wrapping up or what? Who’s next, Vic, Angie, the morgue attendant whose name escapes me, the other neo “paramedic from the last season?” How many threads will no longer dangle?

  2. Backup thought – will Adele find the money that MK took from Ferdinand?
